Customer Name: Northumbrian Water Ltd
The Brief: Northumbrian Water invested in a major development at Seal Sands on Teesside to convert raw sewage into reusable energy. To enable the high tech plant to function a significant extra high voltage/high voltage infrastructure was required.
The Solution: IUS were employed to deliver these extensive works, which included switchgear, transformers and cable works at 66kV, 11kV, 3.3kV and 433V. IUS also made a significant contribution to the design of the system.
The Results: This landmark sewage treatment works project is a major environmental success. The site is fully operational and provides considerable power for the operation.
