The Brief: A J Scott Sawmills were building a new timber processing plant and needed additional electrical capacity.
The Solution: IUS were able to improve the efficiency of the existing HV network and installed a new transformer and LV switchboard. The scope of works required a new 20kV Green Section busbar, comprising of a busbar cable box and two outgoing circuit breakers supplying the new 20,000/433V transformer in turn feeding a new LV switchboard. The programme required close liaison with the Distribution Network Operator to ensure that the project was delivered to timescales.
The Results: The system was tested and commissioned by IUS to the complete satisfaction of the client.
